We are a small organization located in the historic village of Mystic, CT. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3263 was chartered in 1947 and named in honor of Hugo A. Simonelli who was the first native Mystic resident killed in action during WW II. The first commander of the post was Henry Thibeault who was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. Our purpose is to provide assistance for active duty and retired service men and women. Acknowledging their service is done with courage, dedication and pride. In order to maintain a true allegiance to this country we uphold the Constitution and its laws and will preserve and defend the United States of America from all her enemies.
